I’m a big chocolate fan although I can be quite picky when it comes to my favourites, especially since I’m already limited in my choice with my dietary requirements!
I had the pleasure of discovering Pacari Chocolate at the Allergy & Free From Show in Glasgow in March this year. It wasn’t a brand I had heard of before but after spotting their huge range of flavours, I had to give them a try!
Not only was I blown away by the flavours (you really can’t tell they are vegan! The chocolate is so creamy and rich!) but the story behind the company is absolutely incredible.
The entire process is completed in Ecuador from production to packaging, which means that more wealth and jobs stay within that country – only 1% of UK chocolate is made in this way. They do not use palm oil (which is an important one for me) and was ranked in the top 3 of 100 most ethical chocolate brands (Ethical Consumer Magazine 2018)
All of the Pacari chocolates are 60% cacao content or above, 100% organic, vegan, only use natural ingredients and are free from dairy, gluten, refined sugars, nuts, palm oil and soy.
Some of their flavours include lemongrass, ginger & chia, coffee beans, chilli and golden berries (one of my personal favourites). They also do chocolate covered fruit, drinking chocolate and chocolate drops for baking – although they don’t last long enough in my house for any baking to be done!!
Not only this but they have now released their completely plastic-free, compostable and recyclable packaging!
If you want to check them out for yourself, head over to https://home.pacarichocolates.uk/ and give them a try! You won’t regret it! I’ll be featuring some of the different flavours on my Instagram so keep an eye out for those!
If you’re already a Pacari fan or do give them a try, let me know what your favourite flavour is! 🙂
