Food Gluten Free Scotland Lifestyle Reviews

August Favourites

August seemed to pass without me really noticing and I can’t believe it’s September already! (Although I bet I’m not the only one to think that!) Here are a few of the things I’ve been loving in August and I’ve popped links in so you can check them out for yourself! 🙂

Warburtons Gluten Free Beetroot Wraps

I’m a big fan of wraps but I’m also a big fan of over-filling and that’s almost impossible with gluten free wraps normally- you end up in such a mess as most wraps tend to fall apart or split. These, however, are perfect! They stay together, can be rolled up, taste delicious and LOOK at that colour! #nofilterneeded Find them here!

Schar Gluten Free Tempties

I only started loving Ferrero Rocher a few years ago so didn’t have much of a chance to enjoy them! I had almost forgotten how much I enjoyed them until I recently discovered Schar Tempties- a gluten free version. These are insane! So tasty, crunchy, chocolatey and nutty- perfection! The price tag is quite steep but definitely worth it for a yummy treat every so often! Find them here!

Schar Gluten Free Tortellini con prosciutto crudo

Pasta is one of my main food groups and I do struggle with having limited gluten free options. But this tortellini is a game changer. It’s so tasty, really quick and easy to make and goes with so many different sauces- you’d struggle to get bored of this stuff! Find them here!

Tesco Free From Eclairs

I can’t believe I’ve only just found these as chocolate eclairs are one of my favourite sweet treats! I spotted these recently in Tesco and thought I’d give them a try. They are only £1.50 for 4 and are so chocolatey and sweet. I like to wait until the cream has properly defrosted inside before I eat mine! The only problem is, they are so light that you could easily polish off the full box (or is that just me?!)! Find them here!

Hanoi Bike Shop – Glasgow, Scotland

Vietnamese food is a fairly new concept to me! My husband is a big fan and since a recent business trip, he’s been desperate to get me on board! We’d visited the Hanoi Bike Shop once before but it was a while ago and I obviously hadn’t remembered how good it was! They have a dedicated gluten free menu (and a vegan one!). I had the salt and chilli squid, chilli-glazed pork and vermicelli noodle salad. Incredible but far too much food! 😛 We’ll be back soon! Here is their website!

The Bowhouse Food Market -Fife, Scotland

I have written a separate post on this food market here but it was such an enjoyable and fun weekend that I had to stick it in my favourites too! Definitely worth a visit if it is on when you are passing 🙂

Rose and Orange Blossom Candle from Next

I have had my eye on this beauty for a while now and my parents very kindly bought it for me recently. It is stunning! Smells amazing and it’s copper- what more could you want from a candle?! You can find it here 🙂

How is it September already?! Should be a good month though! Got a couple of weddings, Autumn is on its way and I’ll be starting the RBS Pre-Accelerator programme which I’m so excited and honoured to have been picked for! 🙂 Hope August was good to everyone!
