The London Allergy Show is one of my favourite times of the year! I’m a huge fan of the Glasgow show too but London is another level! This time, I decided to give myself a bit of breathing space and made my way down to the capital for 2 days (instead of my usual 1). This made a big difference!
There were so many great exhibitors at the show this year, it was so hard to decide who to go and see so I did my best in making my way round as many stands as I could (didn’t manage them all though!). Some of my favourites were:
Schar, Genius, Promise Gluten Free, Juvela, Sproud, Jubel, Bay’s Kitchen, Slightly Different Foods, Shore, Nature’s Store and Sunflower Family, to name just a few!
I also had the pleasure of catching up with some of my favourite blogger friends at the Free From Comms Collective (http://freefromcommscollective.co.uk/) stand. We put together a wee stand of what we can offer and to give us the opportunity to speak to the public and the brands themselves. Being in Scotland means that I don’t get to see these lovely ladies often enough so it was so nice to catch up with everyone!
The FREEE by Doves Farm Kitchen was brimming full of lovely guest chefs and I definitely picked up a few tricks while watching their cooking demonstrations. I also watched a couple of the talks at the Learning Centre – particularly enjoyed Hayley’s (from Bay’s Kitchen) talk about the low FODMAP diet and it was so lovely to see a few different stands with brands specialising in the low FODMAP diet.
We were so kindly gifted a ridiculous amount of goodies at the Blogger’s Meet Up on the Saturday morning and it was so lovely to meet some of the brands in a more personal setting.
One main thing to watch out for is that this is an allergy and free from show which means that everything will cater to one or more allergies/intolerances but might not always be suitable for you so make sure you double check anything you sample, just in case! I’d also recommend wearing trainers! My feet were killing me after the first day in ballerinas so I was very grateful for my trainers on the second day!
All in all, I had a lovely weekend once again and might even try to make it to the Liverpool show in November ( you can’t beat some Christmas-themed free-from goodies!)
Let me know in the comments if you were at the London show and what your fave part was!
